Weekly Update October 28 - Nov. 1, 2019

We hope you had a great weekend.
It was a busy week in sports!
Our Cross Country Team went to Mount St. Louis to compete. Runners of particular note were Sienna who came in 21st out of 148 runners; Kyla, Madyson, and Caitlin who placed in the top 50 of 148 runners. The Grade 7 Girls team placed 6th out of 16 teams in the team event! Congratulations!
Our flag football team took part in the city tournament at Minesing School. It was a great day for football! Led by Captain Konrad the team made it to the quarter finals. Our offensive and defensive lines were solid. In our final game the team lost 21 to 22.The team was complimented by the referees on how sportsman like and well behaved our students were. The team would like to thank Mr. Cameron for all of his time he spent training and coaching the team. Congratulations!
Just a reminder that students may wear costumes for Hallowe'en. Please ensure that students do not bring any weapon replicas, paint their faces or wear masks. All costumes must also adhere to our dress code policy. Students have also been reminded to wear costumes that are age appropriate for audiences as young as Kindergarten, and therefore, costumes intended to be very scary should not be worn. In addition, please do not send edible treats due to allergies and medical conditions. Instead, please help us fill the food bank, send non perishable food items as admission for the Halloween Dance!
