End of Day Dismissal
Published on Nov 1, 2019 15:13

Good afternoon,

As of late there has been an increase in the number of families who drop items off that their child may have forgotten at home.  This has resulted in a large number of interruptions into the classroom.  Moving forward, we will not be calling students down to the office to pick up items that have been dropped off.  It will be the responsibility of the student to know to come down on their own at a recess to check.  As well, unless it is an emergency, we will not be calling students out of class just to be talked with by a parent.  Please communicate with us and we will pass it forward at an appropriate time.

Also, thank you for sending in notes about early pick-up, this reduces the interruptions into the classroom at the end of the day, when teachers are trying to wrap things up.  Just a reminder, that if you do call between 2:30 pm and 3:05 pm, you may get the answering machine and then it is unlikely we will get a message to your child about changes you have implemented for the end of their day.  This is why notes to us in the morning is so important.

Thank you,
