June 1st, 2015
Here we are in the last month of school. While Ms. Snooks and myself are looking forward to summer but we also get very nostalgic and sad about saying good bye to our kindies. We have truly loved our class this year and hope that we have been able to convey that to all of you. We have a very special group and we have had a lot of fun this year!

Family Picnic
We would love for our parents to join us on Wednesday June 24th at11:50, outside at the Friendship Tree for lunch. Please bring your lunch and enjoy the shady tree with your child and their friends. If you wish to bring a snack for sharing please send me an email and we can arrange that (fruit trays, veggie trays or freezies). There is no need to enter the school, we will meet you outside at that time.
Photos Needed!
We need each student to bring in a student of them with their dad. No larger than 4 x 10, thank you!
Praise and Recognition
Congratulations to Olivia, Henry and Nicholas who were recognized for Witnessing Christ. These wonderful three students often act as Jesus would and demonstrate kindness towards others and respect at school. Our final month we are going to be recognizing students who show compassion on a regular basis.
Parent/Teacher Interviews
Just a reminder that we don't have formal interviews at all for the rest of this school year. If you wish to meet and discuss your child's progress at any time please just let us know.
Transitions for Grade One!
Our seniors will begin playing in the big yard during morning and afternoon recesses June 8th. Ms. Snooks and I will support them and ensure they understand the boundaries and what areas they are to remain in. This is helpful and makes outdoor play in September much smoother.
Book Bags and Mailbags
Please continue reading the books sent home at least once a week. We have some very eager and excited readers this year, we just love to see that! Remember to keep reading fun, relaxing and student led. Falling into the routine of reading and enjoying a good book are what is most important in the kindergarten years. We will finish with our book bag son Monday June 15th.
Please continue to send in your child's mailbag on a daily basis. If you have misplaced the mailbag please replace it with a ziploc bag. This is our primary means of communication with our parents.
Library Books
This is our last week for library book exchange. Please be double checking for school library books at home and send them in.
Remind App
I continue to encourage you to join us on Remind! Send a text to(647)931 1863 with the message @roysnooks. Simply add your name. This is such a great and immediate way for me to send out general reminders, but also send pictures of specific students to their parents. I have outlined all of the events (so far) on our class calendar as well as below.
